No matter where it happens, people believe it to be an issue of honor, revenge, or other noble causes. The reality is that people simply love to inflict pain upon each other. On the border of Syria and Jordan, Turks have established a clandestine judicial system based on killing friends, family, and neighbors. And the Turkish government has actually given them considerable leeway.
Now, killing people is one thing... but using it as the basis of a legal system is downright uncivilized. Just think of all the money that could have been made by sticking those same people in prison. Think of all those lawyers, judges, and bail bonds people put out of business.
On the bright side... this clandestine judicial system does reduce the need for jury duty.

The government in this country relies on an alienated class. Gang members are in that class. As long as people are repressed, politicians will be able to push their social programs and make sure that people will continue to rely upon them. But you may ask why in the fuck they would want to do it? Because they have a financial intersest (in terms of special interest monery from companies that profit off of low income folks). Man, that's just fucked. That's sick shit.
I think that gangs have really similar interests. We all want to come up in life. I think we should just all think about the bigger picture. Common people want progress. They want life to get better. I am one of those people. This white shit, black shit, Asian shit, Latino shit-- It's just all shit. We all bleed red and have the same guts. What the fuck has skin tone got to do with who we are? Your skin tone is just an evolutionary side-effect. Blacks come from a hot ass climate where it makes sense to have darker pigment to be protected from the sun. Whites come from a place where it's not as hot and that protection isn't as important, so their skin tone is light. Asians and Latinos (and all other races for that matter) are somewhere in between. BIG FUCKING DEAL.
So I think people should put aside the color issue and focus on what's ultimately more important-- how are we all gonna come up? I just don't think killing is the answer. The Man wants us to all be killing each other all the time-- it furthers his agenda. You wanna damn the man? There's strength in numbers, and if blacks, whites, Asians, and Latinos all got together and stood up to that Mother Fucker who wants to keep everyone down, good shit could happen. Just don't allow yourself to get played.
Yeah, I know my beliefs are kind of utopian and may not take into account all the societal pressures that are out there. But you know what? I am sick of seeing powerful people continually fuck over the lesser fortunate. And I'd really like to see those fuckers go down.
