I just added audio clips to my 2003 Hip Hop Charts. Also, I have made about 20 additions to the charts, and if there is someone I missed... post a comment!
A lot of people may not realize it, but 2003 has been an incredible year for hip hop. Mainstream hip hop is still lagging on the lyrical side of things, but the independent scene has overcome a lot of growing pains.

A lot of the names on these charts will be unfamiliar to people, but almost all of them have been putting out records on a national level for many years now. The media likes to think we hip hop heads have a short-term memory, but almost all of the artists on this list were putting out records when the Stink Zone was founded... 5 years ago.
