MC Pragmatic

As if things weren't crazy enough with my getting clean and sober, and getting a full-time job... I've decided to cross the line from industry watchdog, to industry rapscallion.

The first artist I will be managing/promoting is a local Southern Cali friend by the name of Pragmatic. Prag is originally from Florida, but his style is heavily influenced by artists from the Midwest and Northeast.

Prag and I will be putting out some vinyl soon, and we want to get some feedback and spread the word.

The following tracks are from a demo Prag put together. Prag and I have a running bet about which tracks we should press up as singles. I say the second half is where it's at. Prag says the first half will get the biggest response. Help us settle the bet... post some comments.

LISTEN TO THE ENTIRE DEMO

Intro
Caffeine
Slippery Slope
Rappin' Addict
Unknown Soldier
Track 6
Worthless Earthlings
The Sequel
State of the Union
Abercrombie Zombie
The Vicious Verses

Prag is available for booking and cameos. Get in touch with us if you are interested in collaborating.

NO Disrepsect E. But I listend to a few tracks of Prags Demo. Some from the beginning some the end. I appreciate the attempts at moving intelectual topics and concepts. But your boy is lacking. His main problem I think is his lack of EMOTION as a result he just comes off a bit monotonous. NOTE: I am only criticizing to help. Take heed the future depends on it!

Hey no worries. Thanks for the feedback. I think the future will be fine with, or without us. I'm just the manager here. Prag is the artist. All feedback is appreciated. Thanks for being specific.

I'm really diggin Pragmatic. These rhymes are dope. . . both in content and lyricism. The rhyming patterns are new and fresh. . . nothing cookie cutter, yet they still flow in a very natural way. It's raw. I recently heard a different demo of Pragmatic (I think a newer one) with some completely new songs, and some of these songs with different beats. In comparing the two, I find that Prag's rapping style is very maleable, dependent on the beat he's rapping over. I've heard "Rappin' Addict" over a different beat then this one, and he drops a very different style with the same lyrics. Props.

Pragmatic rocked a show friday in huntington - i cant wait till he gets a real gig though i'll be there, that freestyle was sick. suggestions? how about a freestyle on the album, recorded from one of his shows? Rappin' Addict will get picked up as the first single but the timing is right to put State of the Union on vinyl NOW!!!
