VH1 Please Stop! Part 3-5
I might be doing a review of VH1's And It Don't Stop for Blogcritics, and so I'm gonna be brief. But suffice it to say that the latter parts of this documentary are not holding up to the high standards of the first part. After RUN DMC, the series completely loses focus.
After the first part... the music stops. Instead of focusing on the developments of the music, parts 2 through 4 focus on everything BUT the music. As is typical of documentaries made by the corporate mega-media... the story is less about music and more about the relationship between the media and those artists with the highest sales.
There's more to say, but let me see whats up with PopMatters first.
