Friday Night Flavas: MC Supernatural and Scratch from the Roots
Supernatural has an album due out sometime in the next few years (let's be realistic). He said he wants to make sure it's damn near perfect before he puts it out. And having heard his shelved Elektra debut... I can understand why.
But regardless of his inconsistent studio output, Supernat remains near the top of his game. This session from KPWR 105.9 in Los Angeles, on June 12, 2004, features Scratch (from the Roots) on various "elements".
On a side note: Over the next month, I'll be working on my 2004 charts. People have no idea what a HUGE year this was for hip hop artists across the board. The level of talent is extremely high right now. People still want to believe we will never see another year like 1988 or 1994. People still want to believe hip hop is stagnant. All I gotta say is check back at the end of the year, listen to the charts, and then make up your mind.
